The Sungrow SBH (Smart Battery High-voltage) series is a high-performance energy storage solution designed for large residential and small commercial solar systems. Featuring a modular and stackable design, it allows flexible scalability from 10.0 kWh to 40.0 kWh per unit, with the potential to connect up to four units in parallel for a maximum capacity of 160 kWh.
Its high-voltage design (380V–420V) and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technology ensure enhanced safety, long lifespan, and reliable performance, making it ideal for both daily energy use and backup power needs.
Compared to the Sungrow SBR (Stackable Battery Range), the SBH series supports higher power output, with up to 50A continuous charge and discharge currents, making it better suited for applications with significant power demands. While the SBR offers capacities ranging from 9.6 kWh to 25.6 kWh, the SBH’s larger capacity range and scalability make it more versatile for larger scale applications.
Key Features:
Inverter Integration
DC coupled battery that is compatible with any of the Sungrow Hybrid inverter range, however the SBH series pairs best with the SH15RT-SH25RT range.
Backup Capability
Capable of limited full home backup when paired with the SH15-20RT and full home backup when paired with the SH25RT
Storage Expandability
5kWh battery units that can be modularly assembled into storage stacks from 10kWh up to 40kWh. For larger installations, up to 4 stacks can be connected together in parallel, allowing for storage capabilities of up to 160kWh.
