From 1 July 2025, Victorians can tap into the new Federal Battery Rebate—a national “Cheaper Home Batteries” initiative that is built on the current STC program for solar panels. The battery rebate slices roughly 30 % off the installed cost of an approved home or small-business battery. The discount scales with usable capacity (up to 50 kWh per site) and is designed to step down each year until 2030, so locking in your system sooner generally means a bigger saving.
